Dating, traffic and Los Angeles

The city of Los Angeles is for primarily three reasons - Hollywood, traffic and single life. if you are a single professional in the city of Los Angeles and follow the 9 to 6 regular working schedule, you're probably used to spending a couple of hours in traffic each day. Residents of Los Angeles spend about four days each year stuck in traffic and waiting at traffic lights. The city of Angels also has the highest per capita car population in the world.the LA metropolitan area has roughly 1.8 cars per person and no wonder the traffic comes to a stall during peak hours.you'd be surprised to know that the LA freeway system handles over 12 million cars everyday.

Since we in our lifestyle are so dependent on cars for getting around, this high traffic impacts many areas of our lives including dating. No wonder, in Los Angeles singles prefer to date someone on their side of the town as compared to driving across the city to meet someone special.professional singles in the city often choose to work either early-morning hours or late-night hours to avoid driving in peak traffic. The city also offers many happy hours discounts joints. However most of the happy hours are from six to 8 PM and so is the peak traffic. If you want to meet someone for a date during happy hour, you might like to choose a place close to yours and your partners workplace. Also, do check out the parking situation at the happy hour place as parking around downtown and busy areas of the city can be time-consuming. A lot of singles also choose to meet for late-night dinner followed by a few drinks so that they can avoid driving through the traffic to meet their date.

The traffic in Los Angeles is quite unpredictable. Sometimes the traffic is zooming by and suddenly it comes to a stall. Therefore, it's very hard to predict how much time it would take to let say drive 5 miles in the city. If you're meeting your partner for a date, you might like to compensate for traffic and try to show up 15 minutes early. After all, it is better to show up 15 minutes early than to show up 15 minutes late. Also, you might be able to reach your date faster if you take surface streets as compared to taking the freeway. There are various websites available on the Internet where you can check freeway traffic conditions before you step out of office. If you own one of the smart phones like the iPhone or Blackberry, you might also like to get smart phone applications which can show you the traffic on real-time basis. Hopefully, this guide will help you navigate the traffic in Los Angeles and be on your date in time.

Have more options with Online Dating

Online dating is a great way to save money and time when it comes to dating. Millions of people have found the love of their life with the assistance of dating sites while millions of them are in the dating process. The concept of online dating may still be new, but it is very effective. Much as people have grown comfortable and used to interracting over the web, online dating is positioned to be the new wave of getting people to find their significant others. Social network sites who have hundreds of millions of users are starting to realize that what they once saw as a place for friends, is now grounds for matchmaking. There are loads of sites out there who offer online dating services, but finding the one thats right for you may require some homework.

Each and every dating site has it's own style and niche (unless of course you're looking at the big guys) and many of those sites may even cater to your desires. You must educate yourself about the different types of sites that are out there in order to ensure success. If you've looked around and tinkered with the idea of online dating, it's good to know what it is that you're joining. While many websites may seem inviting, a lot of them lack in quality. For example, if you're interesting in dating professionals, where on one site you may find hundreds and thousands of people on another site you may find hundreds and thousands of ficticious profiles.

When deciding on a dating site, you must keep three things in mind:

1) What kind of site is best for you?
2) What kind of results are you looking for?
3) How much of a budget do you have?

These three questions will help you narrow your search. For example, if you're looking for a general dating site, you may want to try out some of the big players in the space, where as if you're looking for lets say educated singles, you may want to look for a niche site thats dedicated to that. Figuring out what kind of site is best for you will also help you determine the results will be (long term relationships vs. casual dating). If you're like many people who are on a tight budget, paid services may not be the way to go. Finding a free online dating site that offers the same features is a great way to go.

Single professionals working from home.

Web workers often work from their home. While working from home does provide them with a lot of independence and flexibility to schedule work life, it does diminish their social life. Over the years, several researches have been done into maximizing the productivity for single professionals who work from home. Here are a few tips to get the maximum efficiency from your schedule while still not giving away your social life.

1. Work from a public place like a library or coffee shop. A library or coffee shop can provide you with an ambient, quiet atmosphere to work from and at the same time provide entertainment on the sidelines.

2. Interact with people while working. A workplace often guarantees social interaction around the water coolers and during the meetings. However working from home does negatively impact that socializing. While working from public place, make it a point to talk to a few people. Perhaps those interactions can even provide you with ideas which you can use at your workplace.

3. Coffee places are not only for coffee they also provide you with an opportunity to meet singles. Next time you're working from a coffee shop, and you wish to take a break, strike a conversation with the beautiful girl sitting next to you and if you feel interested, ask her out on a date.

4. However, do remember that deadlines are important parts of schedule in a worklife. While working at the library or coffee shop does benefit your social life, it should not interfere with your deadlines. Remember that your paycheck is signed by your boss and he does want to see some get work done at the end of the week.

Hopefully with the tips we have outlined above you will be able to get your work done and at the same time, have some interesting social life on the side. If you need some pointers, you can always check a site that will help you choosing the right professional singles site.
